VIBRATION WING MODEL
As part of a four person lab group, we designed and manufactured a model wing to be mounted to a shake table for an undergraduate vibrations lab modal analysis experiment. The goal of the lab we designed was to find the first two modes/natural frequencies analytically on paper, then verify with FEA on Solidworks, then validate results with experimental data from a sine sweep and a random noise test.

Below is the CAD model. From Solidworks analysis the predicted mode 1 was 19 Hz, the predicted mode 2 was 74 Hz. According to the sine sweep and random noise tests, the modes were actually 15.6Hz and 78.3 Hz.
